Work Sucks

I hate my job. Is that just part of life? I enjoy the type of work I do, just hate this particular job.

Washed my car

A clean car always makes me feel better. I do not usually wash my car very often, but I think that will be one of my new habits for 2011. I found a nice place to do it not too far from home. I will post a picture soon.

Not sure why. Some times I am in great spirits and get along with everyone, but other times I am just an ass. I need to fix that.

I saw this breakfast

I saw the following breakfast at Thetreadmilldiaries.com and think I am going to make it for my family tomorrow morning. Thank you to the The Tread Mill Diaries.

Banana Bread Breakfast Scramble. Loosely based on a bread pudding, this breakfast treat was easily whipped up in a skillet. It’s warm, moist, and sweet. Yum.

To make this at home, mix the following in a bowl until all liquid is absorbed by ingredients: 1 slice of lightly toasted bread torn into pieces, 1 banana – sliced, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 Tsp dried cranberries, ½ tsp ginger, ½ tsp cinnamon, ¼ tsp allspice, 2 Tbsp Milk (I used Vanilla Almond), ¼ c egg white, pinch of salt.

Then, cook in a skillet on medium-high heat until warmed through and it starts to brown. Remove from pan..and top with light butter, sugarfree syrup, and cinnamon sugar. Deeeee-lish!

Off of work

I have been off of work from 12/23/2010 and will not return until 01/03/2011. It is kind of nice. I am able to catch up on some reading and rest as well as spend great time with my family. We have done some shopping as a family. It has been a very nice time so far.

As the weeks starts to head towards the end I will think what it must be like to be independently wealthy and not have to do work that you do not enjoy. Hopefully in 2011 I will be able to find a new job that I enjoy every day. My children are getting older with one of them starting college next year. Soon they will both be gone and I will just have my job.

2011 needs to be the year I find a job doing something I really enjoy, just not sure what that is yet.

We will see.

Kind of sad today

I am kind of sad today. I usually am the day after Christmas and it is no different today. I had a nice few weeks leading up to the Holidays and had a very nice Christmas day with family and friends sharing their Christmas. My family was up around 0630 and had the Turkey and fixings in the oven by 0700. By 0830 we were unwrapping the gifts that Santa and family had brought.

It was very successful. Everyone liked the gifts they had received and all were very happy. I received a Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device.

I am still very sad though and usually am after the Holidays. I do not have to go back to work until Jan 4th 2011 and hope to be happy over the next week.
